I’m feeling plenty of whelmed…

I’m feeling plenty of whelmed…

… but not overly.

That gem, my friends, is from the gone-too-soon series Pushing Daisies.  If you haven’t watched it, you should run to the nearest video store–ahem–Amazon, and watch it now.  I’ll wait.

Okay, now that you’ve caught up, I’ll continue.  The Fifth City is on the verge of launching, and not even half an hour ago I placed my order for seventy copies of those beauties.  I’ll need them for the two events I’m having to celebrate the launch.  In case you’re wondering, I’ll be at:

East Granby Public Library for the Book Launch Party!  Thursday December 3rd from 6-8pm.  There’ll be free food–what else do I need to say?  Also, books, and myself.

and also, Hartford Public Library‘s Author’s Table; Saturday December 5th from 12-3pm.

In addition to purchasing obscene amounts of my own work, I’ve been busy with final formatting tweaks, proofing, and prepping for the events.  Yesterday, I had a chance to take a step back and breathe, when fellow YA Author Emma Woods published her interview of me for Young Reader’s Day.  Check it out here.

It’s nice to check in–or out–once in a while and breathe.

Now, let me get back to my marketing/planning calendar that I made to survive the next few weeks.
