Twas the Night Before Release…

Twas the Night Before Release…

… And all through the eve’,
Liz Delton was thinking
’bout Sylvia, Ven and Neve.

Okay, I’ll stop now.

Anyway, The Fifth City will be released tomorrow, going out into the world to be read!  I can’t wait.  Oh, and Meadowcity is free right now.

So I embarked on a new creative project tonight for a little art therapy (and I’ve been wanting to try this for a while!).  Check out this sweet custom sharpie mug I’m making:

It hasn’t gone in the oven yet, because A. I don’t know what I want to put on the other side yet, and B. Not entirely sure how long to put it in for (because all the instructions differ).  If it comes out good maybe I’ll do another post on the DIY breakdown.  So far, so good; I got the Oil-Based Paint Markers everyone (aka “the Internet”) says to use.

If you’re in Connecticut, come see me at the East Granby Public Library tomorrow from 6-8 for some free food, and to get your signed copy of The Fifth City!

Saturday I’ll be at Hartford Public Library from 12-3 doin’ the same thing (minus the food).

Three hours til launch; let’s do this!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I couldn’t be more thankful today, so I wanted to thank you by giving you a first look into The Fifth City, with a peak at the first two chapters!  One week from today, the book will be released!

I’m thankful for my readers.  I’m thankful for my beta readers and advance readers.  I’m thankful for my family, who have supported me, and listened to me jabber on about book stuff incessantly.  I’m thankful for my creativity, which I sometimes take for granted.  But most of all, I’m thankful for every person who has picked up Meadowcity and read it.

So here goes, two advance chapters for you to read on this beautiful Thanksgiving day! (I was only going to give you one, but the prologue is just one page, I had to give you two!)

Check back tomorrow for the next chapter!

The Fifth City Cover Reveal

Meadowcity, Lightcity, Riftcity and Skycity: the Four Cities of Arcera.  For a thousand years, the cities lived in peace, until Governor Sorin Greyling of Skycity discovered a fifth city: Seascape.

With technologies far surpassing those of the Four Cities, Seascape has remained hidden all of this time, but why?

Meadowcity scraped through the fight against Skycity at Summer’s End, but they won’t remain safe for long.  Sylvia must travel to find help: anything that will help win the war against Greyling, who will stop at nothing to conquer the fifth city.

Sylvia finds herself in Seascape, where she meets the formidable Lady Naomi Blackwater.  The strange city is reluctant to offer help, but Lady Blackwater offers Sylvia a chance to prove herself:  the Trials.

The Trials push Sylvia’s physical and mental limits to the breaking point.  With each task she learns more about Seascape’s vast technologies–and discovers she is good at manipulating them.  But soon she will discover their darkest secret…

And so we have The Fifth City…

And the first proof…

The Fifth City will be released on December 3, 2015
